You remember all those quilt tops that you simply could not see to quilt?.... the ones where the fabric colors are so, well you know, intensly colorful. And the print is extremely complicated in design with pattern that it is impossible to mark.
In fact, how many times have you used two different colors of chalk pencils on one stencil design? I know I am guilty. Changed the lighting, used thread colors that were not the best that, to my horror in fact, occasionally looked like string. Plus, the quilt deserves more. The customer wanted beauty and fabulous quilting. It was impossible to see the marks and even harder to see the stitch and threadpaths, let alone follow the marks even with variegated thread.
Still we are determined to deliver the finest machine quilting, after all, we are truly passionate about what we love to do. We care about the customer's desire, the quilt top's urgings and we plod along, disappointed that we chose the wrong patterns, and the hours drag on. Two days become three as we try to finish the stitching, often times under athe pressure of a stringent deadline.
So why do we do it? It is no secret, we simply believe we can. We trust our training and our instincts. We are determined to present the finest work possible, we truly care about our customers and we are loved for it.
Now comes Shadow Rhythms, three years in the making. A carefully thought out technique that creates quilting as beautiful as feathers. No longer do you need detail marking and pattern transfers. If you are just starting out this method will free you up, hiding all your bobbles and wobbles. Plus, Shadow Rhythms reduces time you used to spend marking. For the advanced quilter this may be an "ah ha" moment and a springboard to more completed quilts in less time.
I coined the phrase "no-mark low-mark" because the marking is minimal-- if at all. You will no longer spend precious time figuring out what to do. The system works with nearly every fabric and quilt style from delicate florals to woodsy flannels. T-shirt quilts become enjoyable to stitch again. Now when you are faced with bright colors and complicated prints you will know exactly what to quilt, how and where.
The secret of the main shape is the leaf, and we can have FUN with way we are going to stitch it. It reaches everywhere. It effortless adjusts to different direction and sizes. There are over 15 different exciting and unique techniques designed so you can create your own Shadow Rhythms with this easy to understand method that is quick and simple to do....so let's get started!
There are over 40 minutes of Shadow Rhythms "how to" and lots of video. You will find these versatile concepts will carry over to your other projects as well. Because your passion means everything to me this maybe the best yet....

Here is more of the buzz...here is what they are saying:
"Sally - I just wanted to tell you how I feel about your new book....it is WONDERFUL! It is so packed with info for both longarmers and us domestic quilters! It gave me new insight into what longarm quilters have to consider when doing my quilts! It's packed with wonderful designs to practice! It's packed with lots of info to help me on my journey to learning to quilt my own stuff! I learned new construction tips! Thankyou for sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience. When I grow up I want to be able to quilt just like you!" Sincerely, Kathe
"Sally-I am so tickled to get a reply from you! Thankyou, and, yes, you may use my email any way you would like. I'm flattered that it made such an impression, but I meant it all sincerely. I found your book to be one of the most helpful and insightful books on quilting that I have read in a long time....and, believe me, I have a library. That includes your other two books! I will come say "hi" when I see you next at some quilting venue. Keep up the good work and keep enjoying! I'll keep practicing." Sincerely, Kathe
"Hi Sally, I have received your new book. I have read it twice. Your info is soooo great. I had to read it again and again because you have packed it with invaluable knowledge. Thanks and please continue your books and CD-DVDs". Alanna L. WA
"It is just what I need!" AQS Lancaster Student
"Your efforts as the author of the book were to perfection!" Mary S. KY
"You have included so many pictures of machine quilting examples I really think I can do it. Cannot wait to use the new Shadow Rhythms. Thanks for another great book." Debby R. IA
"I just got your book and have read it two times already." MQX Student
"just wanted you to know how I love your new book and have been trying some of your designs on quilts I am doing this week. I LOVE the book and the directions, they are great. The possibilities are endless! I think the pattern motions flow together so gracefully, I can really "get into them"!!!! I bought your book in Salt Lake City when you were here a few weeks ago and we chatted and I told you I had taken your class before and really enjoyed it. I'm truly a fan of your works, MANY THANKS." Susanne F Heber City, UT
"Received the Terry Twist Pattern pack in the mail the other day and already using the stencil and patterns on the current quilt I am doing. I am not very experienced at quilting and was looking for something other than stippling. The Terry Twist has allowed me to ‘experiment’ and with your wonderful book “Pathways from Quilt Top to Quilted” has given me the confidence to be more adventurous with quilting and complete a whole quilt rather than added to a pile of unquilted pieced tops!!" Gael D. New Zealand
13. Even if I have 100 different colors of thread, I never have the perfect color for any quilt.
14. When doing intricate quilting, you always have problems with thread tension.
15. I have a lot of panthograms, never used the, but still want more of them
16. All temlates or rulers are always too big or too small.
