Running Threads - My most requested Lecture. Covers 15 Different Thread Types

We all practically have a quilt shop of different threads in our sewing rooms. Some threads run beautifully, and many will create lots of problems for us and our beloved machines. We’ve invested a lot in threads and it is increasing. Watch and learn how to run Specialty Threads and how to control the other many pesky threads that are refusing to cooperate which you already have on hand. I’ll pass around so you can handle closeup over 15 threads and explore their characteristics, learning how to adjust your bobbin tension and top tension for running on your own machine. Bring all those quilt tops that have been patiently waiting for machine quilting patterns and need layout ideas. Sally will go over each one and show you how to quickly make pattern decisions that are compatible with the piecing and fabric choice of the quilt top, whether traditional, contemporary, frilly or masculine. She'll bring loads of stencils and patterns so you can all join in on choosing the right patterns that coordinate with block, border, sashing and fill designs. Learn to pick shapes that work well small, medium and large. She will also introduce you to asymmetrical patterns so you never have to be perfect. Even if you take your quilt tops to a professional machine quilter this lecture can save you time and help you get the look you want for your quilt.
