Finally finished the Feathers Quilt designed by The Pattern Basket. Such a joy to make...loved how each bird surprised me with her own special look and colors.
Falling in love with this pattern is quite fun to do. Ingeniously laid out so you can change the colors up and still define the birds perfectly. So creative. Just think if you were a Cardinals Fan your birds could be red, black, white and patterned black and white fabrics. Hooked yet?
If you were thinking you may want to create this gorgeously fun block and end up with a fabulous treasured quilt using all you super prints and Layer Cakes here is your link to the pattern. Don't wait because I don't know how long they will last.
One more thing, the Shadow Rhythm Technique with the Fleur-De-Vine Pattern Pack is what I used to machine quilt the free motion patterns. Combining simple leaves and a few feathers sprinkled in, seemed to make the most sense and is compatible with the style of the quilt and the fabrics.
