Set on 1" increments they are carefully created for flexibility so you can add and subtract if you so choose and incorporate Free Motion design elements as you go, especially when the pattern changes direction. Consider adding loops, daisies and curls or skip a row or two to vary the design for larger Modern Quilts. One is cleverly angled although you will have to look for it.
