  • Look for easy non-backtracking asymmetrical patterns, stencils and rulers for easy asymmetrical layouts so you never have to be perfectly perfect.

  • Use asymmetrical spines and designs in borders and sashings so the eye automatically overlooks the "bobbles and wobbles".

  • Build in "ringers" (leaf, curl, sprite, tendril, for extra "wiggle room" when connecting borders and corners so your patterns look consistent desnsity overall .

  • Build in at least to pattern variations (mistakes - happy accidents) 2 times because you may need it later on as you continue to quilt so it looks planned like a design element.

  • Vary your patterns sizes from S M L for even more "wiggle room" that the eye cannot catch.
